A ship's rose with one gold spoke thrown past the rim — the direction the desk is pointing. Three rules keep it looking like itself wherever it lands.
Half the mark's diameter, kept empty on all four sides. Type, rules and photo edges stay outside it. When in doubt, give it more.
36 px is the floor. At and below 56 px the engraved ring type is dropped and the glyph-only variant carries alone — set it any smaller and the rose fills in.
Mark left, wordmark right, a quarter of the mark’s width of air between them. EDGE in ink, DESK in gold, Inter 800 tracked to −.035em. The wordmark never appears in a serif or in title case.
Four grounds and an ink do the quiet work. Gold marks structure. Blue means do something. Green and red are reserved for one thing only: which way the edge points. Nothing decorative is ever green.
Inter carries the argument and the numbers — its tabular figures hold every column in line without a typewriter face — and Instrument Serif is allowed exactly one word at a time.
